Prologue - A War Torn World

Many years ago, a great war ravaged the planet, consuming all of humanity into fighting against one another.  It was a war of nonsense to rule the elements.  However, neither side of humans won and the war was a lost cause because of the deaths of the Titan of the Land, Groudon, Titan of the Sea, Kyogre, and the Titan of the Sky, Rayquaza.

According to legend, the prophecies of the Titans of the Sea, Land, and Sky will be fulfilled and the Titans would live once more to restore balance to the planet.

However, all of that was just legend. Alternatively, is it just a myth?  Nobody knows, but it may become reality instead of factuality.

Chapter 1 - A Weird Dream

I woke up to a very peaceful morning with the skies as clear as crystal clear water.  I took in that cool, fresh morning air from my open bedroom window.  It was the time of summer in Michigan, which is my favorite time of year.  Allow me to introduce myself.  My name in Nelson Redwood.  I am currently a postgraduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Today was a special day to me.  Today was, as matter of fact, my birthday.  However, my parents were off enjoying their vacation in Hawaii.  I was happy for them, however, sad at the same time that they were not able to at least call me to say Happy Birthday.

"My day is now all downhill!  I should have received the phone call from them by now!" I yelled at myself.

I then turned around, I smacked into my glass door leading to my backyard.  I was not angry at the door or myself because I felt that it was not necessary.  I just walked back to my room and went to sleep, after all, it was 11 PM.

In my sleep, I was standing in a dark abyss.  I did not know where I was at all.  Suddenly, I heard a loud roar of a creature of a mighty stature.  I was so scared that I started to run away from this beast.

(Author's Note:  Start the chase music.)

I got a good head start on the creature that was chasing me.  However, that lead that I possessed soon dissipated when a different creature flew over me.  I ran back to the other way to see the other pursuer was nearing me.  I was trapped in a PIT maneuver that police use when boxing someone in.  I had two directions to use as an escape route.  No matter where I went, they would be chasing me.  I decided to head east since the creatures were coming from the North and the South.  As the two creatures chased me, a third one started to chase me by swimming coming from the west.  Then, coming toward my direct was a fourth creature that I could not identify at all, but its size was larger than the other three behind me.  I was trapped between a rock and a hard place in four directions for sure.  Suddenly, I was running out of energy to run and I stopped in my tracks to take a breather.

Then, out of nowhere, the four creatures were approaching me from over 100 yards away.  I knew that I was doomed.  Suddenly, my dream short-circuited and I was pulled back into reality.

Chapter 2 - Wake

I woke up in a cold sweat the next morning to find that it was just a very horrible nightmare.  I got out of bed and immediately got dressed.  I saw that the newspaper has came, so I looked and went to see a flyer that said:

"Come on down to Old Stomping Ground Magical Remedies.  We have the items you need to make your dreams become reality."

"Catchy slogan.  Maybe I should head there," I said to myself.

I wrote down the directions to the shop and I went to Google Map the location.  As I was doing this, I noticed the location was already put on the map.

It was a five-minute walk to there without distractions, but I tend to easily get distracted.  Since it was around the corner, I can reach it before it is 2PM.  I grabbed my iPod and I started walking to the shop listening to the instrumental version of New Divide.

(Author's Note:  It exists.  Here is the link.  Would I lie?)

As I was walking, I saw something that looked too real to be real:  a Zekrom and a Reshiram flying through the skies. The next thing I saw was a Latios and a Latias.  I had to rub my eyes and think this is a dream.  Well, it is not.  The next thing I saw was two Lugia's flying through the sky.

I decided to walk back into my house because I believed that this was too much for me.  As soon as my door opened, I had a feeling of being watched from behind me.  I sprinted inside, locked my house down in all secure matter.  However, that feeling of being watched would not go away!

I bolted for my room out of panic and hid under my bed out of pure cowardliness.  The feeling still did not go away.  I decided to fall asleep in hope it would go away.

After my rest, the feeling of being watched was still lingering.  I turned my head to look around my room, and I saw nothing in my room.  This is just too creepy for me to handle.  Unfortunately, I could not look out the window because my bed is next to the window.

I had to get a grip on myself.  I decided to get out from under the bed and I decided to do something that I would regret:  looking outside.  I hoped that the people or animals that were watching me left.  They did not leave at all, from when I looked out.  I immediately hid under my bed before they can absorb the detail of what I looked like.

I then crawled over to my door and silently locked it.  Thankfully, the blinds to my room were closed.  I then crawled my way back under my bed and luckily, I have my cell phone with me.  I turned it on to only see that I had no signal in the house.  I would normally get a signal throughout the entire house.  I tried going on Facebook on my iPod, but there was no Wi-Fi throughout the house.

"What in the world?" I whispered to myself.  "I normally receive Wi-Fi and a signal for my cell phone all throughout the house no matter where I am!  There should always be no interference in the signal throughout the house!"

Suddenly, I heard a thump sound come from the front door of my home.  This is as bad as a FBI raid on a person's home!  I had nowhere to run, nowhere to be.  I thought out the best and worst possible outcome of what may happen.  The best possible outcome is that the raiders give up and leave me.  The worse that can happen is that the front door's quarter inch iron plate does not hold up and the door breaks down allowing the raiders to kill me.  After five minutes of continuous bombardment on my front door, the worst did happened.

I knew it was the end for me as I heard the raider's footsteps nearing my room.  It was all game over for me, and I decided to brace myself for what I feared was the end of days of my life.  I knew that I should have ran, but I am a coward, even every one of my friends sadly admit that I am a coward. All that I hope for is that they leave and do not kill me.

Suddenly, the raiders of my home were pounding on my door.  I knew it was the end of me, my life, and my home.  The raiders kept on pounding and pounding on the door trying to break it down off of its hinges.  After five minutes, the pounding and bombardment stopped causing me to become confused of why they stopped after the initial five minutes.  Did they quit?  Did they think it was not worth the while?  Were they going to batter the door down?  Was the door secure enough to be able to break down?  All of these questions were flying through my mind.

When I thought they left, I was wrong just as they restarted their battering, breaking, and pounding.  I knew I should have not even stepped a foot outside.  All so suddenly, the door broke down.  This is the end of my life and my own self.  The raiders came in and I tried to go to sleep, but to no avail, I found I could not at all sleep.  Out of self-protection, I luckily had covers blocking my view followed by steel beams blocking me from the raider's view.  Therefore,, I lied there and waited until they were gone.

(Author's Note:  End Song Here.)

Chapter 3 - The Escape

As I waited for the raiders to leave, I heard a pair of footsteps come closer.  I knew that my raiders were Pokémon, but which one was approaching me?  I knew that the heaviest, strongest, and tallest Pokémon were Legendary Pokémon, but I wondered who was approaching me.  I did not want to reveal my identity to be used for tracking down again.  There was no way for them getting their hands on me.

Finally able to get the courage to speak, I whispered to myself, "This is not going to be pleasant."

Suddenly, more footsteps are heard.  Now, I was truly trapped.  I gulped at the fact that I might die at the hands or wings that these Pokémon have.  There was one more thing that stressed me:  they do not have any Trainer, and I doubt that there is any Pokémon Trainers in this world.

I could not do anything except exist, however, I still had one final hope that I never use until it boils down to this scenario:  fainting, but I also have to raise the steel door.  I held my breath and about a minute later, I passed out, however, I was able to get the door up by using a remote control panel.

I woke up on my bed with my door closed and there were no damages to it at all.

"That is odd because I thought the door was unhinged," I muttered to myself.  "I wonder if that was truly real?"

'It was real,' a physic voice said.

"Oh crud," I muttered to myself.

I quickly went to open the window next to me to only find that Zekrom was out there!  This is not a golden moment not even close to good moment!  This moment is exactly like a nightmare in reality!  I went to window on the wall perpendicular to me and I saw Reshiram outside the window.  I was panicking so badly that I wished that I could somehow escape.

Suddenly, the window next to my bed broke and miraculously a Pokémon Trainer came in.   "What is your name?" he asked.

"Nelson... Nelson Redwood," I replied.  "How did you find me?"

"Well, Nelson, my name is Kyle Gratiot.  Anyways, we have no time for any other questions!  We must get out of here!  However, first, take these three.  You are going to need them."

Kyle then handed me three of his Pokeballs and I nodded.  We headed out of my house with me barely using the Pokeballs given.  Kyle then called out his Staraptor and we got on to it flying to a safe location.

I then handed the Pokeballs back to Kyle.  I then asked him, "So, where are you from?"

"I from Michigan.  Mackinaw City is where I live," Kyle replied.

"Then how in the world did you get your Pokémon?" I questioned.

"I got them by catching them like you do in the games.  Only I had to find them.  Now, I may know why those legendary Pokémon are after you."

"Can it be from me actually spotting them while I walking to a store?"

"Possibly.  They like not to be seen or heard.  In fact, they are locked on to us.  Hold on!"

We tried to shake them, but we could not outrun them.  They shot us down and out of the sky and we were losing altitude fast.  I then told Kyle, "I see a lake, so let's crash in there!"

Unfortunately, we ended up doing exactly what I said.  After we crashed down into the lake, I swam to shore which was close by.  When I reached shore, I asked Kyle, "Kyle, do you happen to have any spare unused Pokeballs?"

"Yes I do.  Here, and take care of yourself!" Kyle said to me after I received the unused Pokeball from him.

I ran into the woods and then I saw a Pokémon.  It was a Snivy, but there was a Pokeball next to it.  I approached the Snivy, and I asked, "What is a Snivy like you doing out here without your trainer?  Did your trainer abandon you?"

The Snivy nodded his head sadly.  Why would anyone just leave a Snivy here in the forest?  I then asked the Snivy, "Don't worry!  How about this?  You can tag along with me.  What do you say?"

The Snivy's eyes lit up with happiness.  I picked up Snivy's Pokeball and put it in my pocket.

Chapter 4 - A Friend Lost

Just as I walked away with Snivy by my side, a thug came walking down the path and told me coldly, "Give me that Pokémon as well as anything you have and I will not harm you."

I did not want to be beaten up, so I gave my Snivy up including his Pokeball and the empty Pokeball that I got from Kyle.

"Thanks, loser!" the thug exclaimed coldly.

After walking a mile, I found out that I am back in Detroit.  Seems like that I was nearby to my home as well because I was right in front of the back yard gate.  When I opened it, I went inside the back door to find nobody here.  I did not want to talk or be seen, therefore, I closed all the blinds in my house.  I passed by the front door seeing that it was fixed, and as I continued walking to my room, I saw that the door was fixed as well as the window.  I grabbed my wallet and headed for that store that I could have headed earlier yesterday.

I walked out of the unseen and unheard.  I was glad I kept noise to a minimum because I did not want to be heard by any Legendary Pokémon that were about.

I entered the shop and I saw all sorts of items.  They ranged from costumes to plush toys for little kids to inflatable pool toys.  I could tell they had a wide variety.  Then, one item crossed my eyes.  It was a Blue Orb that seems familiar.  I then went over to the clerk for the item's information.

"Excuse me, sir, but mind if I ask you what is that sapphire orb is?" I asked.

"That is the Legendary Blue Orb from the Pokémon game series that summons Groudon," the clerk replied.

"Okay, well, I would like to purchase it."

"That would be $8.75 with no tax."

I gave the clerk exact change and he in turn gave me the Blue Orb.  I walked to my home, but on my way home, I saw the thug who stole my Snivy that I found earlier today.  I broke in a sprint because I did not want the thug hurting or stealing from me any longer.  I got inside and locked the doors.  The good thing is that I was able to get home in time.  The bad thing is now he knows where I live.

Chapter 5 - Groudon Appears

I set the bag down and I went to and get my mp3 player.  I went over to the Blue Orb, and I was feeling nervous from what I doing.  I grabbed the orb and immediately touched it, the orb started to glow.

"Why is the orb glowing?" I asked myself.

All of a sudden, the ground rumbled and a fissure appeared on my front lawn.  I took my Blue Orb with me and headed outside to see that a Groudon appeared.  The Groudon, however, was not the actual height.  As matter of fact, it was my height signifying that the Groudon is young.

"WHO DARES WAKE ME FROM MY SLUMBER?" Groudon bellowed in question while looking at me.

This further proves my suspicions that the Groudon is young.  "I am Nelson Redwood who hails from Detroit, Michigan.  I was the one who woke you from your slumber, sir," I told Groudon.  "At 6:34 PM EST, I received the Blue Orb from a magic shop that is five minutes around the corner.  I thought that the Blue Orb was a model of what the real thing would look like, but it turns out that the Blue Orb is real thus summoning you, sir."

Groudon's expression went from enraged to surprised.  "Well, if that is the case, you shall go unpunished," Groudon stated.  "However, if it happens again, you shall be punished."

Suddenly, Groudon turned around and I saw that there was two Lugias coming in, one of them definitely younger than the other one.  Then, I immediately recognized them:  they were from the raid on my house, but were outside my house the whole time.  They did not plan the raid, which I can easily tell.  So, who did it?

Chapter 6 - Fusion

I stepped back, and then Lugia said calmly, 'Do not fear me, Nelson.  I was not the one who ordered the attack.  The ones who did are already disciplined for their actions.'

"Okay, because it is just that I thought it was you who ordered the attack until I saw your eyes which proved me wrong," I replied.  "So, why are you here?"

'For Groudon.  He is to stay with you.  If all go well, you two will probably be friends.'

Lugia and his son then left Groudon and I alone.  "Well, looks like we are stuck together," I said disappointingly.

Groudon nodded and we headed inside.  I closed and locked the door, and I put the Blue Orb on the table.  Groudon stopped walking with me and went towards the Blue Orb.  He picked the orb up and it went into him.

Later that night, when I was in bed, Groudon could not sleep.  He knew that he must merge with me, but I did not know at the time.  He knew that he and his friend must become one.

'I must tell him tomorrow morning.  That way, he will not be pressured,' Groudon thought.

When I woke up the next morning, I saw Groudon was looking out my window perpendicular to my bed.

"What is wrong Groudon?" I asked him.  "Something is bothering you.  Tell me what is bothering you so much."

"Nelson, I realized what Fate has in store for us.  We are to become one being, mind, and soul.  Do you get what I am saying?" Groudon asked me.

"Uh..."

"I will take that as a no.  You see, when I died a long time ago, I knew that the planet's tectonic plates would not move again causing the planet to self-destruct.  When you used the Blue Orb to bring me back to life, my soul was incomplete.  That is why we must unify as one being Nelson."

"So, this going to help make sure that the balance is restored to the Earth?"

"Exactly.  Now, do you want to do it?"

"Will I remember my friends and family?"

"No.  You are starting over in a new life.  The only thing you will remember is how to keep the Earth in check."

"Good because I don't want my parents to see a Groudon hugging them!"

"Okay...  Let the merge begin."

(Author's Note:  Play the epic music.)

Groudon then placed his right hand on mine and they started to fuse together and grow in size and weight.  I then saw Groudon's body flow into my transforming hand.  I then saw that my hand was now a true Groudon hand.  Then, the goo that was once Groudon's old body burned my shirt and crawled its way up my arm.  It spreading pace soon then doubled, the tripled!  Within a matter of minutes, my body from the neck down was completely transformed.  The goo then started making its way to my face.  Before I could see it mold over my chin, I blacked out.

(Author's Note:  Stop the music.)

Chapter 7 - An Old Legend Falls, A New Legend Rises

When I woke up, I saw that I was in a house unconscious.  When I stood up, the house crumbled at my immense size.  I then saw Lugia.

"What can I do for you, Lugia?" I asked him.

'Return to you did in the past:  controlling the Tectonic Plates,' Lugia replied.

I nodded and I opened a fissure leaving behind the Blue Orb in the house that I destroyed.  I descended into the fissure and went straight to the core of the Earth.

Meanwhile, back at the top, Lugia created an alter for the Blue Orb protecting it with barriers from intruders.

'Now to find the Red Orb...' Lugia said as he flew off.

The Chase 2:  Lost In the Pacific
This is a sequel to The Golden Glory. This story involves a boy becoming a Groudon to save the world from the Earth dying.

I do not own Pokemon or any characters asscoiated with it.

I do own the story and the plot. I am making these stories because I like to write (maybe too much).
